What does The Machine actually do each month?

Is the price one-time or recurring?

The Spark and The Engine are one-time payments. No recurring obligation. The Machine ($597/month) is optional and runs month-to-month after an initial 3-month period — cancel anytime after that.

Do I really own the source code?
